Abstract
Contact angles of polyacrylamide aqueous solutions over polyethylene substrate were measured. A wide range of polyacrylamide concentrations from 0 to 1000 g m-3 were covered. Because of the polyelectrolyte feature of polyacrylamide solution, different electrolyte materials were added to the polymer aqueous solutions. NaCl, CaCl2, and AlCl3 in the concentration range of 0-1.0 mol L-1 were added to the polyacrylamide aqueous solutions. The effects of these electrolyte materials on the contact angle and wetting behavior of the polyacrylamide aqueous solutions were investigated.
